LE PORTE
VERDI
Hand painted Peaky Pearl and Fig for the Golden Tower private home nestled in the old city of Ostuni, Puglia.
Known as ‘La Città Bianca’, Ostuni adheres to a peculiar color code for its residential doors: Blue doors symbolise that the owner of the house was a fisherman, brown doors mean that the owner was an artisan, while green paint means that the place was owned by a farmer.
To respect Ostuni’s tradition and color palette, we decided to use just shades of green for our illustrations while keeping the original layers of paint as background.
